Los Patos Station is one of the main entrances to the Corcovado National Park. Located at the northern side of the park, the trail of Los Patos passes through primary and secondary forests of the Golfo Dulce forest reserve and the Corcovado Park. During this hike you will have the opportunity to explore the lush forest and see any wildlife that cross in your way. Guests will have the chance to relax, swim or have a snack at a small waterfall and natural pool before hiking back to La Tarde.
Important: The trail goes over steep terrain so you must be prepared for a rigorous hike and it is recommended to be physically fit for long hikes. See our FAQ for general recommendations.
The Osa Trail passes through the highest elevations of the Osa Peninsula. Walk through lowland and inland primary forests during this intense adventure. You will be able to lookout over the incredible view of the Golfo Dulce, mangroves and its surroundings. Guests will have the opportunity to see birds, frogs, lizards, monkeys, as well as other mammals that roam the area. The tour ends in the rural village of San Miguel, where a car awaits to return you to La Tarde.

The Tour of Gold follows the El Higuer n Trail which passes through a wide variety of flora and fauna of the Peninsula's primary forest. Guests will pan for gold in a small stream and can even keep the gold they find with Eduardo's help. During this hike guests will also have the opportunity to see a variety of wildlife including; monkeys, poison dart frogs, birds and bats. The tour will also visit a stunning water fall (the flow rate varies by season).

Night hikes lets guests explore the magic of the rain forest at night. Guests and Herpetologists will have the potential to see a myriad of herpetofauna (reptiles and amphibians) during the night hikes. Your guide will navigate you through the rain forest looking for a large variety of insects, lizards, snakes, amphibians, nocturnal mammals and birds.
